Dear Mr Rogers

I am writing to you with my opinion of the new part of our school.

To start off with can I just say thank you to you and the rest of the staff,
teachers and builders that were able to make this happen, I am very, truly grateful.
I just want to make sure that you don’t take any of this personally but I still want you to take my
points into consideration.

Let’s talk about the Learning Commons. The half chairs in the Learning Commons are really useful and
can seat a lot of people from 14-17 I think, that’s surprising. When I look at the colours like the orange,
the green and the grey/black I think of something calming which is good because it is supposed to be a
calming space to do your work in. The Layout of the bookshelves and the different types of furniture
is on point and it makes the room feel very roomy. The unusual shapes of furniture like the half circles
and the rolling chairs are really nice to look at and sit on as well, A+ for that! Next, DUN, DUN,
DUHHH… If i’m going to be honest, I have to say we most likely should get a couple more bits of
furniture like another seating with another table or possibly something like that.

Now the “Cafe”! Firstly the colours of the cafe really blend in and contrast well when put together.
I love the grey with the orange especially with what shades they each are, it is the best contrast of
them all. The Layout/Style of the Cafe is absolutely perfect, The colours of the chairs match the
colours of the table and we even have booths, booths I tell you! Then again the spaces between the
tables are a bit small. We have to think about the fact that there is around 600 kids at our school.
A solution to that minor problem is to have some outdoor seating possibly?!? It would be good as well
especially if it was a hot day and people wanted to sit outside and eat or drink because we don’t have
many outdoor seats at our school at the moment.

Last but certainly not least, it is the.. GYM! When anyone thinks about the gym or A gym all I can
picture someone thinking about is either running machines or something to do with exercising, well,
obviously! There are so many positives about our new gym, changing rooms and the little meetup part.
I’ll just say how much I love that the Gym, Changing rooms as well as that small foyer part are really
spacey, it’s exceptional as it works for the purpose of the Gym. The Changing Rooms in the gym are
completely immaculate as well as being clean, the layout of the changing rooms as well makes it very
spacey and it is easy to move around. I love how warm the Gym is as well, it’s warm when it’s cold
and it’s cool when it’s warm.

Once again thank you for even planning the “New School”, I am so excited for the new buildings that
are in the process of being built right now.
